Tailift Co., Ltd. was founded in Taiwan. Starting with radial drilling machines and industrial machinery, the company steadily built its capabilities in R&D, machining, and equipment manufacturing. As market needs evolved, Tailift entered the sheet metal equipment sector in the late 1980s and subsequently developed product lines including laser cutting machines, CNC turret punch presses, and CNC press brakes.
With more than 30 years of experience in the sheet metal market, Tailift has grown beyond supplying standalone machines. By combining the Group's manufacturing system, product development expertise, and international market presence, we help customers implement complete solutions from equipment selection and line configuration to turnkey plant planning, making Tailift one of Taiwan's representative sheet metal equipment brands.

Tailift Group / Since 1973
From its origins in machinery manufacturing to a comprehensive sheet metal equipment portfolio, Tailift has continuously evolved with industry needs and built a strong foundation in sheet metal technology.
Tailift’s predecessor, Taipin Industrial, was established in Taiwan. Chairman Lin Hsi-Wen began operating a machining workshop from the family’s traditional courtyard house, marking the company’s entry into machinery manufacturing.
01Mass production of radial drilling machines began under the TAIPIN brand for domestic and overseas markets. This specialized, less-crowded product segment generated the company’s first major growth and established its early machine-tool manufacturing capabilities.
02Building on radial drilling machine expertise, Tailift partnered with international brands to develop sawing machines, sanding machines, and woodworking machinery, while also investing in its own forklift products. The business expanded from a single machine-tool category into material handling and diversified industrial equipment.
03Tailift established its Punch Press Division and completed development of a CNC turret punch press, formally entering the sheet metal fabrication equipment market and laying the foundation for later laser cutting machine and CNC press brake product lines.
04Through joint ventures and wholly owned companies in China, including production bases in Qingdao, and through integration of its forklift sales system, Tailift became a leading Taiwanese forklift brand in production and sales while expanding its global sales and service network.
05Tailift collaborated with Japan-based Shibuya Seiki to develop laser cutting machines and built a comprehensive sheet metal equipment portfolio covering punch presses, press brakes, and laser systems. Together with the established forklift business, the Group formed two core business pillars: material handling and sheet metal equipment.
06Tailift invested in advanced servo punch presses and high-power fiber laser systems while expanding into smart automated production lines and laser welding equipment for lithium batteries, extending its capabilities to complete production line and turnkey plant planning.
07The Group established new-energy and automated warehousing businesses and expanded facilities in Taiwan, Qingdao, Nantong, Dongguan, and other locations, creating a diversified portfolio spanning forklifts, sheet metal equipment, automation, and green energy.
08With an investment of NTD 150 million, Tailift successfully developed a high-power scanning intelligent laser welding system for lithium batteries and formally entered the new-energy sector. In the same year, Tailift Green Energy and Tailift Warehousing were established in Taiwan, together with a warehousing systems division, integrating production, warehousing, and logistics into intelligent equipment solutions. Tailift also established an 8,000 m² showroom and sales center in Dongguan, China.
09Tailift strengthened its market presence by investing in and establishing four operating companies in Qingdao, Nantong, and Dongguan, China. In the same year, R&D advanced significantly with the launch of 30 kW and other high-power fiber laser cutting machine models, while the cumulative global customer base exceeded 10,000.
10Celebrating Tailift Group’s 50th anniversary, the new Nantong plant, Qingdao showroom, and Nangang R&D base pilot plant were completed and put into operation. In the same year, construction began on Tailift Technology Park in Jiaozhou, Qingdao, to expand intelligent logistics capacity, with a total site area of 35,000 m².
11Based on Dun & Bradstreet’s global database evaluation, Tailift received Taiwan’s 11th TOP 1000 Elite Enterprise Award. In the same year, the Group expanded intelligent warehousing and logistics equipment production and introduced the EX27 PLUS punch press, A Series laser cutting machines, and the TLWML12080 semi-automatic lithium battery production system.
12Tailift officially launched the LW Series handheld laser welding machines, bringing efficient and flexible smart manufacturing capabilities to the metalworking market. At the same time, local sales teams were deployed in the strategic Southeast Asian markets of Vietnam and Indonesia, strengthening the Group’s global after-sales service network with faster, more comprehensive local support.
13With Taiwan as its core R&D and manufacturing base, Tailift has established production and service locations in China, the United States, Southeast Asia, and other markets, bringing sheet metal equipment closer to customer operations, shortening lead times, and improving after-sales responsiveness.

Tailift NCT CNC turret punch presses have been repeatedly recognized by the Industrial Development Bureau, Ministry of Economic Affairs, as leading new products in the precision machinery category and have received multiple patents.
Supported by the Ministry of Economic Affairs A+ Program in 2015 and 2020, Tailift invested in laser texturing equipment and high-power laser welding systems for lithium batteries, advancing laser applications and new-energy equipment technologies.
Tailift participated in smart robotics programs supported by the Industrial Development Bureau, Ministry of Economic Affairs, introducing smart sheet metal manufacturing, automation, and digital integration technologies.
Through collaborative projects with the government and the Industrial Technology Research Institute (ITRI), Tailift completed multiple laser and new-energy production line equipment developments, building substantial expertise in key processes and industrial applications.
The forklift business has previously ranked first in Taiwan in domestic and export sales and received the Ministry of Economic Affairs SME Innovation Award, demonstrating long-term market strength and product competitiveness in material handling equipment.
Centered on turret punch presses, CNC press brakes, laser cutting machines, and laser combination processing systems, the business integrates ISO and CE certifications, government-supported R&D programs, and patented technologies, making Tailift one of Taiwan's representative sheet metal machine-tool manufacturers.
